WHAT IS THE MARTIAL SCIENCE? RTMS is not just another Martial Art, Rick Tew's Martial Science is geared towards the enhancement of Mind, Body and Spirit. We focus on developing a strong character, self-esteem, life enhancing goals, self-confidence, self-discipline, physical conditioning and building knowledge through the martial arts experience.
Rick Tew's Training Camp / College Martial Science / Ninjitsu is a combination of effective, useable, realistic martial arts principles that make it into its elite system. Because students are not expected to conform to an art, they can use a scientific approach to being their best. A typical martial art can be limited to its tradition, yet RTMS is focused more on the student rather than its master. It is ever changing and has no boundaries; it is not limited to the approach of having any labels, set kata's or "do as I do" training. The student is in charge and Self-Powered.

DO YOU HAVE A CAMPUS? NO - Rick Tew's Martial Arts and Ninja Training Camp / College Martial Science / Ninjitsu is not an Academic College nor is it only a Vocational Program and there isn't any one location or campus. Our programs are a College of Life and a Campus of the mind which is built through a variety of awesome experiences. CMS students may indeed train in one focused location or they may travel and train in the mountains one day and on on the beach the next. In a way, it is definitely about location - but more so: location, location, location. Travel locations will adjust each year, so be sure to attend all the programs in any given year in order to get the most out of CMS. Students must expect a lot of hours on the mat in order to level. So those that are serious about a career in the martial arts will still need to put in some redundant time mastering skills. Currently camp phases are conducted in Thailand while still offering 2 week travel and training in California, New Zealand, and Europe.

HOW ARE CLASSES TAUGHT? All students are taught by either Sensei Tew, or an Assistant instructor or experienced RTMS member. Students will also b e trained by course instructors that specialize in a unique topics. Students will get training that they need to focus on and master each week while testing for new levels each month. Most students are trained by the current instructor in regular class formats and then receive seminar instruction from Sensei Tew or advanced instructor on a weekly or biweekly basis, depending on your current skill level. Assistant instructors and experienced students will lead many of the training lessons. Remember, self-power is required at CMS - we do not hold your hand.
Note that on Adventure programs, there is a lot of travel as opposed to the camp programs where training is the priority over travel and adventure.

WHERE DO I SLEEP AND WHAT DO I EAT? Members on our 2 week Travel and Training Adventure Tours sleep in a sleeping bag / tent on the ground unless better housing is available - most of the time you will need to be prepared for outdoor style sleeping /living (typical for travel programs). Live-in students at our camps will usually share basic housing which could be a cabin or bungalow. It is your responsibility to arrange housing in order to make it to training sessions. Your amenities will vary depending on your program. For example, CMS Thailand offers housing and food as part of the program fee while CMS Europe only covers training. This will not be a Club Med vacation. You will be on a program designed for learning the martial arts and developing your personal attributes. You come to learn the Martial Science and or experience a unique adventure.
You will need to be prepared for RUGGED CAMP style living. Flexibility is key. We are strict with the rules and regulations. So make sure that you understand these rules prior to your attendance. We want to focus on teaching and training - not telling you what to do every 5 minutes. Memorize the following:
IT IS THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR TO ANSWER BEFORE QUESTIONED.
The above statement means - don't wait for us to ask you to clean your hands, fix your belt or put away the mat. Just do it.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
- Flexibility and breathing
- Physical fitness
- Food and diet
- Visualization and meditation
- Principles of combat
- Hand to hand combat
- Gymnastics and stunts
- Kicking and punching
- Weapon and training tools
- Mental achievement strategies
- Ground fighting and grappling
- Climbing and wilderness skills
- Stealthing/Invisibility skills
- Holistic awareness and meditation
To list or label the training you will be receiving is impossible if we are to keep from setting limitations on our ability. This guideline is simply a cloud that hangs over the world of Rick Tew's Martial Science / Ninjitsu.
We have 5 Levels to our System and each level contains 18 skills or lessons to be learned.
WHAT DOES THE CAMP / COLLEGE OF MARTIAL SCIENCE PROGRAM OFFER? A new way of life - a dream and a chance to travel. The purpose of the programs is to educate and train motivated individuals via the martial arts and adventure travel. Our program is based on our concept of Mind, Body and Spirit. Rick Tew's Training Camp / College Martial Science / Ninjitsu is more of a personal discovery that teaches students martial arts / outdoor adventure and alternative methods for learning and self enhancement. Currently we offer our Ninja Martial Art Camps long term in Thailand only. This is done by an instructor that has been living the life for more than 20 years, unlike our competitors which offer instruction from beginners usually looking to simply cash in on the Ninja market. Our programs and instruction simply can not be beat.
We offer programs that will enable individuals to make use of their environment in order that they may focus on personal development.
"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change." -Charles Darwin
WHAT IS THE BASIC PROGRAM SCHEDULE? Mr. Tew is in charge of the schedule and will adjust it any way he see fit. The day usually begins at 9:00 AM but often at 6:00 AM and lasts until the instructor / guide says, "dismissed" which is usually around 5 PM. On travel programs expect to spend some time in a vehicle. Classes are conducted around the travel schedule and will vary greatly.
Long term schedules for students looking to Teach Martial Arts for a Living are as follows:
- Attend a 1-2 month training camp phase in Thailand
- Earn Certification in one of five levels (usually 1-2 a phase)
- Start Rick Tew's Martial Science / Ninjitsu Training Club in your hometown (optional) teaching up to the level attained at CMS
- Head to Europe, where we will introduce you to a process of instruction and place you as an instructor where you can earn a living teaching the martial arts
- Attend a few travel programs, instructor camps and continue your training
- Repeat until you reach instructors status (Level 5)
- Work as an instructor at CMS Thailand, or in an official Rick Tew's Martial Science / Ninjitsu program in a location of your choice anywhere in the world.
- Some students may require additional training camps and also may be attending tours throughout the year.
The programs are designed to give the student intense focus on training that embodies the essence of Mind, Body, Spirit and Martial Science training. NOTE: the schedule is determined by Master Instructor - Rick Tew and it is the students responsibility to adjust to any changes in programming.
Students will also reserve time for keeping the program in order and taking care of personal issues. All in all, the program is flexible enough to allow personal growth or relaxation and intense enough to offer a valuable training program.
BREAKS There will be days set aside for personal use otherwise you will be focused on your training. Breaks will be provided throughout the schedule. Usually on Sunday.
NOTE: Our programs are not just for martial artists or people looking to teach the martial arts. It is for anyone who wants an adventure and wouldn't mind learning the martial arts at the same time.
WHAT IS SELF-POWERED TRAINING? Focus at the Rick Tew's Training Camp / College Martial Science / Ninjitsu is based on self-powered training. This requires a massive amount of your own discipline and motivation. Although we are here to teach, it is up to you to wake up and get on the mat. We will not hold your hand or constantly be telling you what to do. Your success in this program is up to you and only you. We provide the tools, guidance, motiation and we will be there to push you - but you need to be pushing too. You are part of a team and there are people to get advice from.

We have had participants from Canada, England, Holland, Australia, Mexico, Israel, Vietnam, Denmark, Japan etc. It is important that when traveling that all foreign students simply get a tourist visa - or the regular visa they would get as if just traveling or vacationing. Our program is very similar to that of a tour or other outdoor programs so you would get the same type of visa. Since we operate programs under 3 months - you can manage to fit this program into your allowed visiting time of 90 days. We do not offer any visa assistance, however we provide information on the steps to take to ensure you are on the right track.

CAN I BE REJECTED AFTER I ARRIVE? Yes, if you fail to abide by the rules and regulations we reserve the right to cancel your program without refund. Once you sign up for the program we expect your 100% commitment. You will be rejected or removed from the program if you refuse to follow the rules. You must arrive with an empty cup and be prepared to work and train hard. Lazy people will soon find themselves in an uncomfortable boring situation. The Travel Programs are less strict.
This is the key element for any Rick Tew's Training Camp / College Martial Science / Ninjitsu student. If you are negative, then you will only find struggle. Those that last are those that are the most adaptable to change . All of our programs are a challenge and you will leave much stronger than when you arrived.
THE STRONGER WIND THE STRONGER THE TREES Rick Tew's Training Camp / College Martial Science / Ninjitsu will test your patience and force you to meet face to face with your weaknesses. Learn to release and let go, focus on a positive mentality for the duration of your stay. A bad attitude can bring down the entire group and will be grounds for dismissal from the program. This includes behavior - mental or physical. You have a lot to gain from this program, so help us - help you.
WHAT IF I HAVE LITTLE EXPERIENCE IN THE MARTIAL ARTS? We accept everyone. So martial arts experience is NOT required. However, it would help if you're an athletic person and like the outdoors. As far as the martial arts is concerned, it is easier for us to train you if we don't have to break old habits. If you have a great attitude and get along well with others, then this program might be for you. If you smoke or think beer is better than water - this program is NOT for you. Some members will join to focus simply to take part in the martial arts, lose weight or have an adventure. This is okay - the idea is that you are here to have fun, yet truly motivated to grow.
